Washingborough Hall Wedding
Jim and Kathryn’s wedding was at the beautiful and intimate Washingborough Hall. It was the perfect setting for what was a very heartfelt and emotional celebration with their close friends and family. I had only met Jim and Kathryn a couple of times before their wedding, once for an initial meeting, and once for their engagement shoot, but somehow it felt like I had known them for a lot longer. Their smiles and warmth on the day were utterly infectious and set the tone for the entire day.
I think it’s the first time I’ve seen a couple do fist bumps when they meet at the front during the ceremony. It was a really sweet moment, and just the first of many throughout the ceremony.
Lincolnshire Wedding Photography
The Lincolnshire weather was kind to us on the day. After a heavy downpour first thing, the sun came out and barely disappeared for the rest of the day (Not that it really mattered too much, as it was obvious that everyone there was going to have a great time come wind, ran or shine).
The speeches carried on where the ceremony had left off; full of some beautiful moments, and at times very emotional. I love how during speeches the range of emotions and expressions can swing from one end of the spectrum to the next in a matter of a few lines. Nothing makes for a better photograph like the kind of real moments and reactions that happen during speeches.
When I met Jim and Kathryn for their engagement shoot we had a chat about the wedding plans, and in particular, how the music choices would be heavily influenced by the 1980s (not the ‘time warp’, ‘the birdie’ etc…the other bit of the 80s music scene). The dancefloor was full and a lot of fun and the perfect end to a great day.
The Wedding Venue
A quick note on the venue. I’ve already mentioned how it was the perfect setting for Jim and Kathryn’s wedding. I also want to say how friendly and helpful the staff were on the day. From the second we arrived at the venue nothing was too much effort, and throughout the day the entire staff did the venue proud with their service.
I hope you like this small selection of photographs from the wedding
