Stubton Hall Wedding Photography
I was recently Dawn and James’ wedding photographer at Stubton Hall. It’s such a beautiful venue and it was great to be there to capture their wedding day. We met earlier in the year for their engagement shoot at Elveston Castle and stopped for a drink to have a chat about the wedding plans. I find the engagement sessions are a great way to get to know a couple before their wedding day. At the start of the engagement shoot Dawn and James had said that they were a little nervous about having their photographs taken professionally, but by the time they had their portrait session on their wedding day they seemed really relaxed in front of the camera. The whole day was at Stubton Hall, and thankfully the weather held for us and we were able to get some photographs outside in the beautiful grounds there.
Stubton Hall is located to the north east of Nottingham. After a few weddings ‘on the road’ it has been nice recently to photograph a few weddings that have been virtually on my doorstep. Dawn and James’ wedding had such a nice relaxed atmosphere, and I loved how much the music used throughout the day reflected their personalities. As the dance music started to build up on the entrance to the wedding breakfast, I could sense there was going to be a bit of a dance/walk to their places at the table, and I wasn’t disappointed! Anticipating those moments and getting into a good position to capture them is so important – those are the little moments and expressions that make a day special.
The flowers on the day were absolutely beautiful and were provided by Rebecca Caddell at Floraldeco. If you’re looking for a florist in Nottinghamshire then you should really check out her work.
Picking out my favourite images from a wedding is always hard, but I try not to overload the blog with too many. So as always here are a select few images from the wedding day.
