A wedding at Stapleford Park in Leicestershire
I love being able to meet with couples or brides before they book me to photograph their wedding. If that isn’t possible I like to at least meet or Skype with them before the day itself. I think it’s really important to get to know them as people and understand how they want their wedding to be. When you book me as your photographer I want to know as much about you and your plans as possible, not only does it help you to feel like I’m not a stranger turning up on the wedding day, but it helps me to do a better job on the day too.
I first met Claire at Stapleford Park before they had decided to book me, and learnt a little bit about her and her wedding plans. Finding out that the bride is also a photographer sure does add a little pressure! But I like a bit of pressure, and in truth Claire was really fantastic to work with and made my job so easy.
Claire and Dave were great to be around on the day, as well as their two little ones who created some great photography opportunity (including one of them saying “Boring” during the father of the bride speech, sending the whole room in laughter!). It’s those little moments at weddings that you just can’t plan for and don’t expect. I am constantly on the look out for those moments, as for me they are what makes every wedding really unique.
Stapleford Park Weddings
I hope to be able to head back to Stapleford Park to photograph another wedding before too long. It has a reputation for being one of the best wedding venues in the East Midlands, and it’s easy to see why. You know that the staff have done a great job when the bride asks for a photograph of her and the venue coordinator at the end of the night.
