Wedding Photography in Oxfordshire
I had such an enjoyable time photographing Karen and Pete’s Oxford Wedding earlier in the summer. The ceremony and reception were both held at the Hawkwell House Hotel. Rain prevented plans for an outdoor ceremony, but it was beautiful none the less. It wasn’t long before the skies cleared, and most of the rest of the day was spent in the sunshine.
Karen and Pete met while at Nottingham for University, and they still visit friends regularly in the city. It was for one of these visits that I first met them for their Engagement Shoot at Wollaton Park.

They both looked so happy throughout the day and it was a real joy to able to capture that emotion. We broke their portrait session into two parts, which is something I often like to do at weddings. This means that the couple are never away from their guests for too long, and also means we can capture a different type of shot as the daylight changes.
There were so many sweet moments during this wedding, from Karen giving her bridesmaids presents in the morning, to Pete warning the guests away after being announced as Husband and Wife. It was yet another wedding where I spend the journey back home to Nottinghamshire smiling to myself and eager to look at the images.
Karen and Pete spent their honeymoon travelling around the US, and I received a really nice email from them as they had been able to get internet access and seen a selection of previews I had sent them. I’m looking forward to meeting up with them soon to show them the rest of their wedding photographs and hearing all about their trip to America. Here are a few of my favourites from the day.
