A Barn wedding in the Warwickshire countryside
I arrived at the Mythe Barn on the morning of Alex and Joel’s Wedding, the sun was shining and the sky was a seamless sheet of blue. Alex was amongst family and friends, seeming relaxed, excited, and with just a hint of nerves. It seemed like Alex just couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle and see Joel. Their connection had been obvious when we had met for their pre-wedding shoot earlier in the spring. They laughed a lot together, joked a lot together, and seemed to smile infectiously. On the wedding day itself they were just the same.
In the ceremony, amongst all of Alex and Joel’s family and friends, it was obvious that this day meant just as much to them as it did to the couple. It was a light hearted but touching ceremony full of joy, and it was a perfect start to what was a fantastic day of celebration. The day went on in a similar style, with the warm spring sunshine covering the venue for the whole day. Heart felt and funny speeches followed, with so much more emotion and laughter throughout the whole day.
A Mythe Barn Wedding
I had been looking forward to photographing a Mythe Barn wedding ever since Alex and Joel chose me to be their photographer. It is so easy to see why they picked this venue, and their wedding made full use of it too, with the ceremony, reception, and dancing all in different rooms, and afternoon drinks out the in courtyard in the sun.
From the moment I arrived at their wedding, to the moment I left, I was made to feel welcome. It’s a testament to their personalities that they created such a warm and welcoming environment for everyone at their wedding. I hope these photographs give a real sense of how it felt to be there on the day.
